naartjie and peel - zero food waste

The City of Cape Town has announced an initiative aimed at promoting sustainable living: a free Zero Waste Living Masterclass. This event is scheduled for 27 June 2024 at the Civic Centre Banqueting Hall, offering residents valuable insights into reducing organic waste.

The masterclass will provide practical tips and strategies for minimizing household waste, and attendees will receive a free home composting container to kickstart their zero waste journey. This initiative aligns with the city’s ongoing commitment to environmental sustainability and reducing landfill contributions.

Due to limited seating, residents are encouraged to RSVP promptly. Interested individuals should email info@zafanzone.co.za with their ID or passport and municipal account details to secure a spot.

The Sea Point, Fresnaye, and Bantry Bay Ratepayers & Residents Association (SFB) encourages all residents interested in reducing their waste to join this event.

For more details and updates on this and other initiatives, please visit the City of Cape Town’s official website or follow their social media channels.
