CoCT short term rental policy change

While the draft by-law has not yet been published, CoCT did publish more details on what it will do.

Residential Time-of-Use Electricity Tariff

The news on the CoCT budget is maybe not all bad. Buried in the text is the introduction of Time of Use (ToU) electricity tariffs, and (once the backend allows it) ToU exports for homeowners that have excess solar power.

CoCT will also be rolling out AMI meters, reducing the need to buy these (although installation is still for the customer). CTCRA has created a 2 page summary of what is happening for your reference.
