The Sea Point, Fresnaye & Bantry Bay Ratepayers & Residents Association (SFB) is delighted to share that Sea Point continues to be a destination of choice for both locals and international visitors. The 2023/2024 Summer Season saw a remarkable influx of visitors, with 102,463 people enjoying the Sea Point Public Pool and Sea Point beaches.
The number of visitors enjoying the piece of coastline along the Sea Point Promenade was released by City of Cape Town in a recent announcement and highlights the growing popularity of this vibrant area. The stunning views, well-maintained amenities, and the welcoming atmosphere of Sea Point have made it a magnet for tourists and residents alike.
As the SFB, we are immensely proud to have such an incredible gem in our community. The Sea Point Promenade not only offers breathtaking ocean vistas but also serves as a gathering place that brings together people from all walks of life.
This significant increase in visitors underscores the area’s appeal and the effectiveness of ongoing efforts to maintain and enhance its attractions – and so the SFB welcomes the recent commencement of the Sea Point Promenade rehabilitation project by the City.
The SFB looks forward to more seasons of welcoming visitors – and remains dedicated to ensuring that Sea Point remains a safe, clean, and enjoyable destination for all. As a non-governmental, volunteer-led community organization, we rely on membership fees, donations and sponsorships to continue making a meaningful impact. We therefore ask you to consider making a donation, or signing-up as a member of the SFB. The greater support we receive, the more of an impact we can make.
