Dog-Friendly Beaches in Sea Point

  1. Milton Beach
    • Location: Near the end of the Sea Point Promenade, Milton Beach is a small, rocky beach that provides a serene spot for a stroll with your dog. While it’s not ideal for swimming, it’s perfect for exploring the rock pools and enjoying the scenic views.
    • Rules:
      • Between 1 November – 31 March, no dogs are allowed on the beach between 09:00 and 18:00. Between 18:00 and 09:00 dogs are allowed on the beach, as long as they’re on a leash.
      • From 1 April – 31 October: dogs are allowed on the beach at all times, but must be on a leash.
  2. Sunset Beach
    • Location: Situated near the Sea Point Pavilion, Sunset Beach is a more spacious option where dogs can roam. This beach is known for its beautiful sunsets and is a popular spot for an evening walk with your pet.
    • Rules:
      • dogs are allowed on the beach at all times, while dogs are allowed off-leash, we recommend ensuring the your dog is on a leash for safety.

Tips for Visiting Dog-Friendly Beaches

  • Leash Laws: Always check the specific regulations regarding leashes, as these may change.
  • Clean Up After Your Dog: Keep our beaches clean and enjoyable for everyone by picking up after your pet.
  • Respect Other Beachgoers: Not everyone is comfortable around dogs, so be mindful of other visitors and ensure your dog is well-behaved.
