Temporary Closure of Nettleton Footpath at Lions Head

South African National Parks (SAN Parks) has informed hikers that the Nettleton footpath at Lion’s Head will be temporarily closed due to a collapsed footpath embankment. This closure is essential to stabilize the area and ensure public safety and easy access.

Closure Details:

  • Affected Area: The link between Nettleton Road and the gum belt.
  • Duration: Temporary, until repairs are complete.

Park users are being asked to utilize the alternative footpath from Arcadia Road to access the mountain during this period.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation as SAN Parks works to maintain the safety and integrity of our beautiful natural spaces.
